History of chemical industry
The chemical industry is one of the fundamental sectors of Uzbekistan's economy. It was established in response to the growing need to accelerate agricultural production through the construction of enterprises producing mineral fertilizers. The modern history of the Republic's chemical industry began in 1932 with the commissioning of the Shorsu sulfur-gold deposit.
Plans on chemical industry diversification reviewed
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the presentation on implementing projects in chemical industry and plans on diversifying the sector.
Significant results of modernization
The seventh Chemie & Plastex Uzbekistan – 2013 international exhibition of chemical and plastics industries started at the UzExpoCentre in Tashkent. It is organized by the Ministry of foreign economic relations, investments and trade, Ministry of agriculture and water resources of Uzbekistan, Uzkimyosanoat state joint-stock company, the Chamber of commerce and industry and Tashkent city administration, in cooperation with ITE Uzbekistan international exhibition company. Over twenty companies from Uzbekistan, Austria, Belgium, China, Germany and Ukraine are participating in the exhibition with their product and service offerings.

В акционерном обществе «Узкимёсаноат» 10 декабря 2019 г. была проведена встреча, с представителями компании «Air Products» (США). В ходе встречи обсуждались вопросы о создании СП в рамках инвестиционного проекта «Производства углекислого газа (СО2)» на базе АО «Навоиазот». В рамках проекта так же были обсуждены технические, финансовие, экономические стороны (детали) проекта.
